Although it has been leaking for a few days, it has not been finally eaten until now, we have not only been able to know the official features of the Poco M3 Pro 5G, but we have also been able to take a first look at it to confirm what our feelings were telling us, which is the affordable 5G to beat.
Coinciding with the arrival of the telephone in Spain, the brand has given us the terminal so that we can see with our own eyes the benefits of the telephone and we have to say that they are not few. 90 Hz display, 5,000 mAh battery with 18W load, Dimensity 700 5G processor …
All this counting on the phone arrives in stores for less than 200 euros for either of its two versions, either with 4 + 64 GB of memory or with 6 + 128 GB. Also to celebrate the launch, Poco sells the two models at a discount of 20 euros until next May 27.
5G, cheap and with great details
The device becomes the first M series phone to support 5G connectivity, something that the sticker that protects the device boasts. But before we get to it, we see that in the box we find a quick start guide, the classic “pin” to remove the MicroSD card, a series of stickers to decorate whatever we want and the always essential cover that the company gives to users .
Moving on to the device, on the front, the Poco M3 Pro is equipped with a perforated screen on a 6.5-inch screen with Full HD + resolution and, one of the great attractions of the team, a 90 Hz refresh rate. Along with the side volume buttons, the phone is equipped with a fingerprint sensor located on this profile.
This panel has a more flexible viewing experience that allows to automatically alter the refresh rate depending on the content we see, which allows us to better manage the energy of the equipment. Despite being protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, the brand integrates a screen protector already on the mobile before taking it out of the box.
The terminal that we have been able to test is the best of all, the one that It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory internal accompanying the Dimensity 700 that gives the phone a more than good performance as well as 5G connectivity. As soon as we turn it on we see that, how could it be otherwise, the device runs the custom Android 11 operating system in MIUI 12.0.5
As stated in the box of the device itself, we confirm that the smartphone sports a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging features and a little surprise with the charger that we leave for later.
The camera department has been reduced compared to what was seen in the original Poco M3 and now it is reduced to the upper left corner, accompanied by the brand logo. here the protagonism is taken by a 48 MP main sensor, accompanied by a 2 megapixel macro lens and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the phone houses an 8 MP sensor loaded with AI tools in the small hole in the screen.
Includes a 22.5W charger
The best of all, in addition to the mobile itself, is that the phone comes with a USB-C cable and a 22.5W charger. Even if the phone only supports a maximum charge of 18W, we can always use this “gift” from the brand to charge other compatible devices with a high speed charge.
Of course, it is something to be appreciated considering that many other manufacturers, with more expensive mobiles, are removing these power adapters from the boxes of their devices.
