If you are looking for a traditional Mexican recipe for the delicious rice pudding, you’re in luck! This recipe that I share with you today is the same one that my mother has prepared all her life! And now, both she and I, we explain it to you step by step.
1 cup of white rice
1 can of condensed milk
Four cinnamon sticks
1 liter of milk
Raisins, walnuts and ground cinnamon to taste
Put two cups of water to boil with the whole cinnamon. At the boiling point, the rinsed and cleaned rice is emptied. Cook – stirring regularly – until the water has almost completely evaporated.
Then, the liter of milk is emptied and left to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once the rice feels soft, or the milk is almost absorbed, the can of condensed milk is emptied. Stir well. Serve and decorate with ground cinnamon on top, raisins and walnuts in pieces to taste. You can serve it hot or cold.
