During the SID 2021 of Samsung Display they have shown a video in which we see functional prototypes of mobiles with the doubly folding screen, tablets of exaggerated dimensions that can be folded and transported and the application of folding screens to laptops.
We already warned the other day about what was to come from Samsung Display and as we see in the video that the company has shown at SID Display Week expo it has not disappointed. We see a roll-up device, a folding mobile in S and much more.
The video leaves no doubt about what the folding device will be like and its folding system in two places. It can function as a smartphone and can also be used as an alarm clock along with a specially designed base.
We can also get an idea of what would your roll-up phone look like, similar to the Oppo X 2021 that we have already been able to test for a few hours.
Samsung has also developed a laptop whose camera for video calls is located under the screen, in the purest ZTE Axon 20 style.
However, perhaps the most striking thing is to see the 17-inch foldable tablet that can double as a laptop similarly to the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold that has already passed through our Laboratory.
On the video we can see how half the folding device displays a mid-screen keyboard when in laptop mode while it becomes full screen when used in tablet mode. It is more than likely that Samsung will end up offering some kind of physical keyboard accessory to make the laptop experience complete.
At the moment there is no announcement on whether these devices will reach the market, they are mere prototypes that record how you are working the R&D department Samsung Display for future devices.
